Questions & Answers

How does the delivery work?
If you live in a private home, your meals are placed in a designated pre-discussed location. If you live in a condo or apartment with a concierge the meals can be arranged to be left with them. If your building does not have a concierge, we will arrange ahead of time to obtain a key to access the front door of the building. Your key will be returned on your last drop off day.
As a Personal Gourmet fresh client, you will receive all of your freshly prepared meals at your home or a chosen location before 6 a.m. daily (between 7pm and 2am the night before). Please note that Saturday and Sunday orders will be delivered together on Friday night.
Frozen weight loss deliveries are made on Sunday night for the week, and frozen supermarket deliveries are 3 days after your order date (between 7pm and 2am).
Frozen food via Fedex will arrive 3-4 days after placing your order between 9am and 5pm.

How many calories do I need in a day?

Your metabolism is an estimate of how many calories your body needs to maintain its current weight. It shows the number of calories per day your body burns, regardless of exercise. In order to lose weight, you need to increase your daily activity or consume fewer calories than those needed to maintain your weight. It is important that we know your calorie level, because it will allow us to craft a food regime that will facilitate weight loss. “Calculate Calorie Level” to find out what calorie level you are on and we can personalize the program that works best for you.

Please note that calorie counts are as close as we can possibly get them, but still approximate.

This looks like too much food. Is it the right amount for me?

Personal Gourmet creates a personal program to each individual’s calorie needs. It may seem like a lot of food but it’s just a lot of good food! To put things in to perspective, a bag of non buttered movie popcorn is the same as Personal Gourmet’s 3 meals and 2 snacks. That’s a 1200 calorie level!
